Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi mezinárodních a regionálních organizací v boji proti pirátství. U každé mezinárodní organizace jsou sepsána opatření, která byla v průběhu let přijata ke snížení počtu pirátských útoků. Nejvíce se tomuto fenoménu věnuje IMO, OSN a EU. Část týkající se regionálních organizací je rozdělena dle Jihovýchodní Asie a oblasti Adenského zálivu, na kterých představuji historický vývoj opatření, které státy těchto oblastí přijaly. K případové studii byla vybrána oblast Guinejského zálivu, která se v posledních letech stala nejvíce frekventovanou, co se pirátských útoků týče. Výzkum byl proveden s cílem zmapovat boj proti pirátství v této oblasti.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of international and regional organizations in the fight against piracy. Each international organization made measures that have been taken over the years to reduce the number of pirate attacks. The IMO, the UN and the EU are most concerned with this phenomenon. The section on regional organizations is divided according to South-East Asia and the Gulf of Aden region, where I present the historical development of the measures taken by the countries of these regions. The area of the Gulf of Guinea that became in the last years the most affected area in terms of pirate attacks was selected for the case study. The research was conducted to map the fight against piracy in this area.
