Creation of an information system for endangered cultural heritage - a case study Krušnohorská railroad Osek - Dubi - Moldava, culture monument

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na mapování, následný popis současného stavu a zároveň pohled do minulosti nejzajímavějšího úseku Moldavské horské dráhy, a to úseku Osek - Dubí Moldava v Krušných horách a již zaniklého německého úseku Moldava v Krušných horách - Holzhau. V úvodu je popsána charakteristika území geografie a přírodní podmínky, dále historie celého úseku dráhy i současný stav, a je popsána činnost spolků, jejichž zájmem je prosperita dráhy. V další části je práce zaměřena na historické a současné mapové podklady, jejich porovnání a následné získání informací o změnách dráhy v čase a o zaniklých objektech. V terénní prospekci se práce zaměřuje na fotodokumentaci současného stavu prvků dráhy, nalezení fragmentů zaniklých objektů a pořízení fotografií pro 3D modelování. V poslední části se diplomová práce zabývá zpracováním 3D modelů vybraných objektů a publikací všech získaných informací v prostředí internetu pomocí webové aplikace Story Maps.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on mapping, with consecutive description of a current state, and also a view into the past of the most interesting section of Moldava's mountain railway track, namely a part Osek Dubí Moldava v Krušných horách (in Ore Mountains), and an already defunct German section Moldava v Krušných horách Holzhau too. The preface outlines the characteristics of the area its geography, and natural conditions, then a history of the whole track territory, also its current state, with a description of activities of such associations, whose interest is a prosperity of the railway track. Historic, and current maps, their collation, and a consecutive acquisition of information regarding changes of the railway track over time, including information about abandoned objects, are handled in the next part of the study. In terms of a landscaping exploration, the dissertation deals with photo documentation of a current condition of the track's elements, fragments of defunct objects retrieval, and an acquisition of photographs for 3D modeling. The thesis deals with processing 3D models of selected objects, and publishing all of the gathered information on the internet, using web application Story Maps.
