The pricing policy of Prague hotels

Abstract:

Diplomová práce začíná objasněním pojmů hotelový trh, hotel a vymezení pojmu cestovní ruch. Dále se zaměřuje na kongresový cestovní ruch a kongresový hotel z důvodu cíle diplomové práce, kde se přímo o kongresových hotelech píše v analytické části. V teoretické části práce navazuje téma na cenu, cenotvorbu, metody sestavení ceny a v neposlední řadě trh, který zahrnuje poptávku a nabídku. V analytické části popisuji současný vývoj hotelového trhu, statistická data o cestovním ruchu a Prahu jako samostatný cílový region pro cestovní ruch. Následuje představení společnosti, která zaštiťuje dva vybrané hotely pro mou komparaci. V další části jsou popsány tyto vybrané hotely a na základě sestavených otázek provedeny řízené rozhovory s řediteli obou hotelů. Poslední část práce je věnována faktorům, které ovlivňují cenu a cenotvorbu u vybraných hotelů a jejich shrnutí.

Abstract:

This Master´s dissertation begins by clarifying the concepts of the hotel market, hotel and definition of tourism. It also focuses on congress tourism and convention hotel because of the aims of my work because I´m writing about congress hotels in my analytic part. The teoretical part of my work is focused on price, pricing, methods of compilation prices and ultimately market, which includes supply and demand. The analytical part describes the current development of the hotel market, statistical data of tourism and Prague as a separate target region for tourism. Following introduction of the company, which sponsors two selected hotels for my comparison. The next section describes these selected hotels and on the basis of questions drawn conducted structured interviews with the directors of both hotels. The last part is devoted to factors that affect the cost and pricing of selected hotels and their summaries.
