Characteristic of leisure-time facility for youngsters in Sweden with the concrete example of Sockerbrukets Ungdomsverksamhet

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá zevrubným představením volnočasových zařízení pro mládež ve Švédsku a jejich funkci a fungování uvádí na konkrétním příkladu volnočasového zařízení Sockerbrukets Ungdomsverksamhet v Lidköpingu. Čtenář se dozví, kam se ubírá švédská politika mládeže a je mu představena historie švédských volnočasových zařízení pro mládež. Dále v práci nalezne studie několika švédských specialistů, které pojednávají o tom, jak by takový dokonalý volnočasový klub pro mládež měl vypadat, jak z pohledu mládeže, tak z pohledu zaměstnanců. Poslední část práce podává obraz Sockerbrukets Ungdomsverksamhet, jeho historii, současnost a malý exkurz do budoucnosti. Pro čtenáře orientujícího se v otázkách volnočasových zařízení pro mládež v Česku může text sloužit jako ukázka toho, jak odlišně daná zařízení mohou fungovat jinde ve světě, pro ostatní poskytne práce představu a náhled do švédské politiky mládeže a její aplikace do běžného života.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the detailed presentation of the leisure-time facilities in Sweden. Their role and functioning is described on the example of the leisure-time facility Sockerbrukets Ungdomsverksamhet in Lidköping. The reader will learn about the heading of the Swedish Youth Policy and he will find out the history of Swedish leisure-time facilities for youth. In the following part of this thesis, the studies of several Swedish specialists will appear. These studies deal with the idea of an ideal leisure-time facility seen by both, the youth and the employees. The last part of this paper describes the Sockerbrukets Ungdomsverksamhet’s history, present and the small excursion into its future. For those readers who are knowledgeable about the situation of leisure-time facilities in Czech republic, this thesis can serve as a demonstration and example of the functioning of such facilities abroad. For others, it can be a useful tool to picture the Swedish Youth Policy and its impact to everyday life.
