Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na srovnání zobrazování ženských postav v dílech Arthura Conana Doyla a Agathy Christie prostřednictvím Jungovy teorie archetypů, s konkrétním zaměřením na archetypy matky a dítěte. Výzkum se skládá z analýzy tří knih každého autora. Cílem této studie je ukázat podobnosti a rozdíly v zobrazení postav, přestože jsou prezentovány v různých prostředích a za různých okolností. Výsledky této práce poskytují náhled na způsob, jakým jsou ženské postavy zobrazovány v detektivním žánru a jak se daní autoři vypořádávají s tradičními koncepty matek a dcer.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on comparing the representation of female characters in the works of Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie through the lens of Jung’s archetypes theory, with a specific focus on the mother and child archetypes. The research consists of analysing three books by each author. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the similarities and differences in the representation of characters, despite being presented in different settings and circumstances. The findings of this thesis provide insight into the way female characters are represented in detective fiction and how the authors deal with traditional concepts of mothers and daughters.
