Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje vybranou skupinu idiomů, a to z hlediska sémantického, formálního a lexikálního. Zaměřuje se na ty idiomy, v nichž se vyskytují domestikovaná zvířata. Jejím cílem je zjistit, kolik anglických a českých idiomů si vzájemně odpovídá v jednom, ve dvou, nebo ve všech studovaných hlediscích. V teoretické části je popsáno, co je to idiom, jaké jsou jeho definice a jak je tohoto termínu použito v kontextu předkládané práce. Analytická část dělí idiomy do tří hlavních skupin a ty jsou dále děleny na podskupiny podle stupně jejich korespondence. Výsledky, k nimž práce dospěla, jsou v závěru shrnuty v přehledné tabulce.

Abstract:

The present thesis analyses the selected group of English and Czech idioms from a semantic, formal and lexical point of view. It focuses on domesticated animals idioms. The aim of the thesis is to find out how many English and Czech idioms correspond to each other totally or on one or two of the studied levels. In the theoretical part it is stated what an idiom is and how it is understood for the purposes of the thesis. The analytical part sorts idioms into three major categories which are further divided into subcategories on the basis of the level of their correspondence. The conclusion contains a table of statistics of the analysis of the English and Czech idioms on the basis of the degree of their mutual correspondence.
