Supporting the development of intrinsic motivation in adolescents in the teaching of german language

Abstract:

This thesis considers the topic of the support of intrinsic motivations of adolescents in teaching German. The result of this work is the design of specific activities that follow the individual lessons of the textbook Menschen A2.2, and serve as supplementary methodical material to support the intrinsic motivation of adolescents. The theoretical section of the thesis elaborates upon the notion of motivation, from both the pedagogical-psychological and didactic points of view. Furthermore, it investigates the types of motivation, with an emphasis on internal motivation and consequently the individual factors which influence it. The practical - empirical section makes use of the above theoretical study and on the basis of this presents a set of exercises that are used to support the inner motivation of adolescents. The final questionnaire examines the attitudes of students from Křenová Gymnasium towards a selected activity from the proposed set.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem podpory vnitřní motivace u mladistvých ve výuce němčiny. Výsledkem práce je návrh konkrétních aktivit, které navazují na jednotlivé lekce učebnice Menschen A2.2 a slouží jako doplňkový metodický materiál k podpoře vnitřní motivace studentů. Teoretická část práce rozpracovává blíže pojem motivace, a to z pohledu pedagogicko-psychologického i didaktického. Dále se věnuje druhům motivace s důrazem na vnitřní motivaci a poté jednotlivým faktorům, které ji ovlivňují. Prakticko – empirická část využívá poznatků z části teoretické a na jejich základě představuje sadu cvičení, které slouží k podpoře vnitřní motivace mladistvých. Závěrečný dotazník zkoumá postoje studentů gymnázia Křenová k vybrané aktivitě z navržené sady.
