Longitudinal study of environmental sensitivity by primary school pupils

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem environmentální senzitivity žáků druhého až sedmého ročníku základní školy. Zkoumá vztah žáků k přírodě a životnímu prostředí v horizontu čtyř let. V teoretické části práce pojednáváme o psychologických aspektech vývoje osobnosti dítěte a vývoje vztahu k přírodě a životnímu prostředí. Dále se zabýváme specifikací různých směrů environmentální výchovy, jejich vývojem až k současnému stavu. V empirické části se věnujeme výsledkům longitudinální studie, jíž jako podklad sloužilo dotazníkové šetření, které jsme realizovali na Základní škole Lupáčova v Praze. V diskuzi se zabýváme shrnutím výsledků výzkumného šetření v souvislosti s výsledky z obdobných studií, které realizovaly diplomantky v minulých letech.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of environmental sensitivity of the 2nd to 7th class pupils of primary school. The thesis looks into the pupils sensitivity to the nature and environment within a period of 4 years. The theoretical part presents some psychological aspects of the mental development of a child, together with the child´s attitude to the nature and the environment. Furthermore, the thesis pursues the specification of different trends in the environmental education, their evolution up to the present time. The empirical part deals with the results of a long-therm study based on questionnaire survey that was implemented in Primary school Lupáčova in Prague. In the final part of the thesis - discussion we summarize the results of the research in connection with the results of similar studies accomplished in the previous years.
