Doping as an ethical problem of sport

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku využívání zakázaných látek a metod ve sportu, které obzvlášť v posledních letech dělají sport neetickým. Tato práce se skládá ze dvou částí. První část práce je zaměřena na teorii, kde je nejdříve vytyčen historický vývoj vzniku samotného termínu doping. Poté je zde rozebrán vývoj užívání podpůrných látek, kde historickým milníkem byla chemizace sportu v 19. století. Mimo jiné je práce zaměřena na dopingové kontroly a je zde definován základní přehled o zakázaných látkách a metodách dle Světové antidopingové agentury. Stěžejní částí je problematika etiky ve sportu, kde jsou rozebrány nejzásadnější faktory ovlivňující jedince k užití dopingu a následné dopady na jedince. Závěr teoretické práce se zabývá možnostmi prevence dopingu. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na analýzu dat získaných strukturovaným dotazníkovým šetřením. Výzkum se orientuje na žáky středních škol a jejich pohledu na problematiku dopingu. Respondenti jsou rozděleni do dvou skupin na sportovce a nesportovce, kdy probíhá komparace jejich pohledů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the use of banned substances and methods in sports, which especially in recent years have made sport unethical. This work consists of two parts. The first part of the work is focused on the theory, where the historical development of the origin of the term doping itself is first outlined. Then there is an analysis of the development of the use of excipients, where the historical milestone was the chemicalization of sports in the 19th century. Among other things, the work is focused on doping controls and there is defined a basic overview of prohibited substances and methods according to the World Anti-Doping Agency. The key part is the issue of ethics in sports, where the most fundamental factors influencing individuals to use doping and the subsequent effects on individuals are discussed. The conclusion of the theoretical work is focused on doping prevention. The practical part of the work is focused on the analysis of data obtained by a structured questionnaire survey. The research focuses on high school students and their views on the issue of doping. Respondents are divided into two groups: athletes and non-athletes, where their views are compared
