Analysis of logistic processes in WOOD division of Matrix a.s. company

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je analýza logistických procesů divize WOOD společnosti Matrix a.s. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V teoretické části je popsán vývoj logistiky, jsou vymezeny její cíle a vysvětleny základní pojmy v oblasti logistických procesů a činností, které jsou podstatné pro druhou část práce. V praktické části práce je představena vybraná firma a divize, popsána její organizační struktura, předmět podnikání a logistické procesy. Cílem práce je na základě osobních rozhovorů a interních materiálů divize analyzovat logistické procesy, identifikovat jejich nedostatky a následně navrhnout vhodná opatření pro zlepšení současné situace.

Abstract:

This Bachelor´s Thesis is focused on logistics processes in WOOD division of Matrix a.s. company. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the development of logistics, defines its goals and explains the basic concepts in the field of logistics processes and activities that are essential for the second part of the work. The practical part introduces the company and the division, describes its organizational structure, scope of business and logistics processes. The aim of the work is to analyse logistics processes, identify its shortcomings and then propose appropriate measures to improve current situation. The analysis is based on personal interviews and internal materials of the division.
