Abstract:
V této bakalářské práci se zabývám medvědem ledním (Ursus maritimus Phipps 1774), který patří mezi největší současné šelmy (Carnivora). V první, rešeršní části, se věnuji medvědům ledním obecně, jejich rozmnožování, odchovu v ZOO Brno, celé ČR i Evropě a problematice s odchovem spojené. In this bachelor’s thesis I deal with the polar bear (Ursus maritimus Phipps 1774), one of the greatest contemporary carnivores (Carnivora). The first research part is devoted to polar bears in general, their reproduction, breeding in the Brno Zoo, the whole Czech Republic and throughout Europe, and to the problems associated with breeding.
