Abstract:

Doktorská práce Jazyk synchronního chatování na Internetu; (ne)zdvořilost v kontextu synchronního chatování se zaměřuje na čtyři konverzační techniky v kontextu chatovací místnosti. Konverzační techniky jsou: oslovení, zahájení konverzace, ukončení konverzace a konverzační strategie “turn-taking”. U každé z těchto technik jsou dále zkoumány zdvořilostní strategie. Práce ve svém rozboru vychází hlavně ze zdvořilostní teorie R.J. Wattse.

Abstract:

The doctoral thesis Language of Internet Relay Chat; reconsidering (im)politeness in the context of IRC focuses on four conversation techniques that are determined by specific conditions of a synchronous chat room. These are address forms, opening sequences, closing sequences and turn-allocation strategies. They are further investigated in the context of (im)politeness strategies. The most significant theory of (im)politeness used in this work is the theory of R.J.Watts.
