Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá australskou angličtinou, jejím vývojem a hlavními rozdíly ve výslovnosti australské angličtiny a standardní britské angličtiny. V první části se zaměřuji na historický vývoj australské angličtiny, na základě zkoumání relevantních literárních zdrojů. Ve druhé části se zabývám stavem jazyka, zejména z hlediska fonetiky a fonologie. Tato bakalářská práce rovněž sestává z fonologické analýzy, sestavené na bázi nahrávek v databázi rodilých mluvčích IDEA.

Abstract:

The present thesis assesses Australian English, its development and major differences between the pronunciation of Australian English and British English. It focuses on historical development Australian English in the first part, based on the research of relevant literaterary sources. In the second part, I depict the state of the language, especially in relation to phonetics and phonology. The thesis also consists of a phonological analysis, which was made on the base of recordings of the speech of native speakers stored in database IDEA.
