The aim of this thesis is to present philosophy of art of American philosopher and aesthetician Arthur C. Danto, stressing his view on the theory of the end of art. The main sources of this work is both eponymous essay The End of Art and the article The Artworld, which precedes the Danto’s theory and in which Danto deals with modern art issues.
