Anotácia:

Diplomová práce zkoumá definici poezie lingvisty a literárního vědce Romana Jakobsona. V zájmu práce není dospět k definici v užším smyslu slova, nýbrž prozkoumat, jakými charakteristikami se poezie vyznačuje a do jaké míry se definice proměňuje, jaké složky zůstávají a jaké jsou vypuštěny. Druhou složkou práce je analýza konstitučních prvků poezie, s nimiž Jakobsonova definice ve své finální podobě pracuje. Práce nadále podává kritické zhodnocení těchto kategorií, jejich roli v systému a jejich efektivitu při popisu poezie.

Abstract:

The thesis examines the definition of poetry by linguist and literary scholar Roman Jakobson. The interest of the thesis is not to arrive at a definition in the narrow sense of the word, but to examine what characteristics are significant for poetry and to what extent the definition changes, which components remain and which are left out. The second component of the thesis is an analysis of the constitutive elements of poetry with which Jakobson's definition works in its final form. The thesis continues to provide a critical evaluation of these categories, their role in the system, and their effectiveness in describing poetry.
