Midwifery care of the woman’s needs in the first three days after childbirth

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on description of woman’s needs, physiological and patological postpartum period and midwifery care of a mother. The main goal of the thesis is to find out the most important needs during the first three days after childbirth in the postnatal clinic of The University Hospital Brno. Qualitative research in the form of interviews was used in order to find out the major problems in the first, second and third day after childbirth, evaluate satisfaction of women’s needs and satisfaction with midwifery care and education. An educational brochure for women during the first three days was created as a result of the thesis.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca je rozdelená na teoretickú a praktickú časť. Teoretická časť sa venuje popisu potrieb, fyziologickému a patologickému šestonedeliu a starostlivosti pôrodnej asistentky o fyziologickú a patologickú šestonedieľku. Hlavným cieľom práce je zistenie prioritných potrieb žien prvé tri dni po pôrode na popôrodnom oddelení Fakultnej nemocnice Brno Obilní trh. K splneniu cieľa bol použitý kvalitatívny výskum vo forme rozhovorov, v ktorom boli zisťované najvýraznejšie problémy žien prvý, druhý a tretí deň po pôrode, miera saturácie potrieb, spokojnosť so starostlivosťou a edukáciou pôrodných asistentiek na popôrodnom oddelení. Výstupom práce je edukačná brožúra pre ženy prvé tri dni po pôrode.
