Cílem práce je analyzovat roli historicity v díle Petera Ackroyda. V teoretické části práce je definován postmodernismus, postmoderní literatura a historiografická metaficke. Abstract:
The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse the role of historicity in Peter Ackroyd's novels. Postmodernism, postmodern literature and historiographic metafiction are defined in the theoretical part. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to analysis of four novels, namely The Lambs of London, The Last Testament of Oscar Wilde, The Fall of Troy and Chatterton.
