Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of devolution in Great Britain. It outlines the beginnings of separatism and nationalism in the individual parts of the United Kingdom, it describes the process of political negotiations leading to devolution and it shows the results of the tendencies towards devolution. The thesis was written after studying relevant secondary literature and internet sources on the topic. The conclusion summarizes the consequences of devolution, its advantages and disadvantages and it provides some opinions given on the topic.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem devoluce ve Velké Británii. Zachycuje počátky a příčiny separatistických tendencí a nacionalismu v jednotlivých částech Spojeného království, popisuje proces politických jednání, která k devoluci vedla a podává výsledky devolučních snah. Práce byla napsána na základě prostudování relevantní sekundární literatury a internetových zdrojů věnovaných dané problematice. Závěr práce hodnotí dosah devolučního procesu, jeho důsledky, výhody a nevýhody a uvádí některé názory, které byly k tématu vysloveny.
