Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na analýzu vztahů mezi sledovanými proměnnými ve hře League of Legends a na zjištění, zda existuje vztah mezi chováním hráčů a výsledky zápasů. V rámci výzkumu byly formulovány pět výzkumných otázek, které se týkaly korelačních vztahů mezi sledovanými proměnnými a vlivu sobeckého, altruistického a kooperativního chování hráčů na výsledky zápasů. K dosažení cíle byla použita kvantitativní metoda v podobě analýzy statistických dat získaných z herních záznamů. Výsledky ukázaly, že existují korelační vztahy mezi sledovanými proměnnými, avšak tyto vztahy nejsou vždy silné a mohou být ovlivněny dalšími faktory, jako je taktika týmu nebo strategie hry. Sobecké chování hráčů nemá vliv na výsledky zápasů, zatímco kooperativní chování může mít vliv na výsledek hry. Altruistické chování nemělo statisticky významný vliv na výsledky zápasů. Výsledky této práce mohou být využity pro praktické účely hráčů, trenérů a datových analytiků. Limitace práce spočívaly v omezenému množství dat a omezenému výběru sledovaných proměnných. Tato práce tak může sloužit jako základ pro další podobné výzkumy v oblasti esportu.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on analyzing the relationships between the observed variables in the game League of Legends and determining whether there is a relationship between player behavior and match outcomes. Five research questions were formulated, which concerned the correlation between the observed variables and the impact of selfish, altruistic, and cooperative player behavior on match outcomes. To achieve the goal, a quantitative method was used in the form of analyzing statistical data obtained from game records. The results showed that there are correlation relationships between the observed variables, but these relationships are not always strong and can be influenced by other factors, such as team tactics or game strategy. Selfish player behavior does not affect match outcomes, while cooperative behavior may affect the outcome of the game. Altruistic behavior did not have a statistically significant impact on match outcomes. The results of this study can be used for practical purposes by players, coaches, and data analysts. Limitations of the study included a limited amount of data and a limited selection of observed variables. This work can thus serve as a basis for further similar research in the field of esports.
