Burnout Syndrome of Primary Teachers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá syndromem vyhoření u učitelů 1. stupně základních škol. Teoretická část popisuje učitelskou profesi, osobnost učitele a především syndrom vyhoření, jeho příčiny, projevy, fáze a prevenci. Praktická část seznamuje s cílem práce a respondenty a vyhodnocuje výsledky kvalitativního výzkumu. Výzkum by měl sloužit ke zjištění příčin, které k syndromu vyhoření vedou a přinést doporučení a možnosti prevence, jak mu předcházet. Hlavním záměrem je zjistit, zda jsou k vyhoření náchylnější muži či ženy a učitelé s delší praxí nebo začínající učitelé.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with burnout syndrome of teachers in primary school. The theoretical part describes teacher's profession, teacher's personality and mainly burnout syndrome, its causes, symptoms, phases and prevention. The practical part introduces the aim of the thesis, focuses on respondents and evaluates results of qualitative research. The research is used to find out the causes, which lead to burnout syndrome and bring advice and possibilities how to prevent the problem. The main intention of the thesis is to ascertain whether men or women, or experienced teachers or beginners are more predisposed to burnout syndrome.
