Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the co-existence of Africans and Afrikaners in today's South Africa
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zabývá zřízením a fungováním usmiřovací komise a vývojem mezirasových vztahů v postapartheidní Jihoafrické republice. Cílem práce je zhodnotit úspěch Komise a posoudit její vliv na soužití černých Afričanů a bílých Afrikánců v současné demokratické JAR. Pozornost je věnována struktuře komise, jejím výsledkům a přetrvávajícím rasovým rozdílům ve společnosti.
Abstract:
Bachelor thesis deals with setting up and working of Truth and Reconciliation Commission and with the development of interracial relations in postapartheid South Africa. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the success of Truth Commission and its impact on peaceful coexistence between black Africans and white Afrikaners in democratic SA.
