Asset managers and sustainable finance

Abstract:

The objective of this paper is to examine the relationship between asset management companies and firms that they manage. The relationship is examined in terms of exercising of the ownership rights and its impact on improving ESG practices in the managed firms. The paper primarily focuses on the three largest asset management companies, and which are analyzed in terms of their clients, ownership structure, and their products and services. It also examines the concentration of ownership in the hands of the asset management companies and their utilization of ownership rights. Additionally, the paper explores the latest trends in the ESG field that could potentially influence this relationship.

Abstract:

Cieľom tejto práce je preskúmať vzťah medzi správcovskými spoločnosťami a spravovanými firmami z pohľadu uplatňovania vlastníckych práv s dopadom na zlepšenie ESG v spravovaných firmách. Práca je zameraná predovšetkým na tri najväčšie správcovské spoločnosti, ktoré sú analyzované v oblasti ich klientov, vlastníckej štruktúry a ich produktov a služieb. Je tiež skúmaná koncentrácia vlastníctva v ich rukách ako aj ich využívanie vlastníckych práv. Okrem toho práca preskúmava najnovšie trendy v oblasti ESG, ktoré by mohli mať na tento vzťah dopad.
