This Master’s Diploma thesis focuses on the depiction of female stereotypes in three fairy tales “The Beauty and the Beast”, “Little Snow-White” and “The Sleeping Beauty in the Wood” and the feminist versions of these tales in The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories by Angela Carter and Kissing the Witch: Old Tales in New Skins by Emma Donoghue.
