The role of dispute in the older Czech literature

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Úloha sporu ve starší české literatuře se věnuje středověkým skladbám, a to I., II. a III. Sporu duše s tělem, Sváru vody s vínem a Podkonímu a žákovi, poukazuje na ně z genologického hlediska, zaměřuje se na okolnosti jejich vzniku, objasňuje literární předlohu a provádí analýzu obsahu skladeb. Předkládá vzájemnou komparaci všech tří Sporů duše s tělem a uvádí jejich shodné i odlišné znaky. Cílem diplomové je posoudit všechny zmíněné oblasti a zjistit úlohu, kterou plní spory ve středověké literatuře.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis called The Role of Dispute in Older Czech Literature (I., II., III. Spor duše s tělem, Svár vody s vínem a Podkoní a žák) presents disputes from the point of genealogy terms. In the thesis there are some selected works and the focus is put on the circumstances of their origin, explanation of their literary models and analysis of the concent of the individual pieces. The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate all of these areas and determine the role of these works in medieval literature.
