Management of Personal Relations in Succession Planning in Family Business

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je Řízení personálních vztahů při plánování nástupnictví v rodinné firmě. Právě téma nástupnictví je aktuálním tématem pro řadu českých rodinných firem. Je to dáno především generační obměnou, kdy generace, která rodinné firmy v 90. letech zakládala, nyní postupně odchází do důchodu a zabývá se otázkou, co s firmou dál. Hlavním cílem této práce je navrhnout možnosti ošetření personálně právních vztahů ve vybraném rodinném holdingu v přímé souvislosti s mezigeneračním předáváním v možných krizových situacích, a to za účelem zajištění úspěšného předání rodinného holdingu i za těchto okolností. Přičemž bude zpracováno více možných scénářů, a to v návaznosti na neplánované rodinné situace, které by proces nástupnictví mohly významně ovlivnit. V práci jsou především využity metody kvantitativního i kvalitativního šetření a analýza interních firemních dat.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is Management of personal relations in succession planning in family business. The succession in family business is a contemporary topic for many Czech family companies. The reason is because of the generation changes when the older generation who established their firms in 90’s, is now going to gradually retire and is thinking about who is going to replace them. The main goal of this thesis is to suggest solutions for the personal-legal relations in the selected family holding in direct connection with intergenerational transmission in possible crisis situations, in order to ensure successful handover of the family business even in these circumstances. The suggestion will be elaborated with more possible scenarios, following unplanned family situations that could significantly affect the succession process. The thesis mainly uses methods of quantitative and qualitative research and analysis of internal company data.
