Childbirth from the perspective of a paramedic

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je porod mimo zdravotnická zařízení z pohledu zdravotnického záchranáře. Cílem bakalářské práce je zmapovat znalosti a zkušenosti zdravotnických záchranářů v problematice porodů mimo zdravotnická zařízení. Zjistit, zda mají zdravotničtí záchranáři dostatečné teoretické znalosti v oblasti vedení porodu a v oblasti péče o novorozence. Teoretická část práce vychází z nejnovějších publikací, které definují a popisují pojmy vztahující se k vybranému tématu. Zabývá se ošetřovatelským přístupem k rodičce a novorozenci, poskytováním první pomoci při porodu mimo zdravotnické zařízení a to jak laické pomoci tak profesionální. V teoretické části je zahrnut i management péče zdravotnického záchranáře v multidisciplinárním týmu u ženy při porodu mimo zdravotnické zařízení. V praktické části práce jsou analyzována a interpretována data, která vyšla z kvantitativního průzkumu. Kvantitativní průzkum byl uskutečněn formou dotazníku vlastní konstrukce. Výsledkem dotazníkového šetření bylo zjištění, že zdravotničtí záchranáři mají velmi dobré teoretické znalosti a více než polovina z nich se prakticky setkala s porodem v terénu mimo zdravotnické zařízení. V závěru práce jsou uvedena doporučení pro praxi určená zdravotnickým záchranářům.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is childbirth outside medical facilities from the point of view of a paramedic. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to map the knowledge and experience of paramedics in the field of births outside medical facilities. To determine whether paramedics have sufficient theoretical knowledge in the field of childbirth management and newborn care. The theoretical part of the work is based on the latest publications, which define and describe the terms related to the selected topic. It deals with the nursing approach to the mother and newborns, by providing first aid during childbirth outside a medical facility, both lay and professional. The theoretical part also includes the management of the care of a paramedic in a multidisciplinary team of a woman during childbirth outside the medical facility. In the practical part of the work are analyzed and interpreted the data that came out from a quantitative survey. The quantitative survey was carried out in the form of a self-designed questionnaire. The result of the questionnaire survey was the finding that paramedics have very good theoretical knowledge and more than half of them practically encountered childbirth in the field outside the medical facility. At the end of the work, there are recommendations for practice intended for paramedics.
