Reports of Joseph Kessel on the interface between the press and literature

Abstract:

This thesis is called Reports of Joseph Kessel on the interface between the press and literature. It deals with the relationship between the French literary world and the world of newspapers. The genre of "reportage" illustrates the interdependence of the two spheres. The theoretical part on the example of selected French writers and reporters demonstrates the functionality of printing-related literature. He is mainly looking at the character of journalist and novelist Joseph Kessel, whose literary and journalistic creation shows how the story published in the newspaper can lead to the creation of literary works. The practical part then presents pedagogical potential, which in theme and genre is hiding. The work also contains methodological notes, which offers concrete reflection of how the selected genre and literary text could be used for the purpose of FLE.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Reportáže Josepha Kessela na rozhraní mezi tiskem a literaturou se zabývá vztahem mezi francouzským literárním světem a světem novin. Na žánru "reportáž" ilustruje vzájemnou propojenost obou sfér. Teoretická část na příkladu vybraných francouzských spisovatelů a reportérů dokazuje funkčnost vztahu tisk-literatura. Věnuje se především postavě novináře-romanopisce Josepha Kessela, na jehož literární a žurnalistické tvorbě ukazuje, jak námět publikovaný v novinách může vést až k vytvoření literárního díla. Praktická část práce následně představuje pedagogický potenciál, jenž se v tématu a žánru skrývá. Součástí práce jsou metodické listy, které nabízí konkrétní reflexe, jak lze vybraný žánr a literární text využít pro účely FLE.
