Medical risks on travelling abroad

Abstract:

V teoretické části se zabývám okolnostmi, které mohou při vycestování do odlišných zemí světa nastat. Smyslem bylo co nejefektivněji vystihnout podstatu cestovní medicíny. Zmínila jsem se o nestoru cestovní a tropické medicíny, který se významně a celosvětově zasloužil o její propagaci. Dále jsem uvedla několik zahraničních a českých organizací, působících v této oblasti a stručně charakterizovala jejich činnost. Předmětem mého zájmu bylo informovat o zdravotních komplikacích na cestách a v rámci tohoto zjištění i o epidemiologicky závažných destinacích světa. V praktické části se pomocí kvantitativního dotazníkového šetření snažím zjistit nejčastější importované nákazy a uvést běžné neinfekční příčiny nemocí. Zaměřuji se také na problematiku prevence a to ve spojitosti s nízkou mírou proočkování cestovatelů před odjezdem do rizikových oblastí. V neposlední řadě jsem zjišťovala, do jaké míry sahá vědomost, resp. nevědomost českých turistů o existenci center cestovní medicíny a jejich edukační činnosti.

Abstract:

In the theoretical part I deal with the problems which happen when travelling abroad. The aim of this thesis is to afflict the merits of travelling medecine. There is mentioned the doyen of travelling and tropical medicine who had merit in this field and popularized overworld this kind of medicine. There are refered and noticed some foreign and Czech organizations working at this field and there is characterised their activity. The objective of this thesis is to ackknowledge about health risks w en travelling abroad and in this framework to learn the dangerous epidemiological destinations around the world. In the practical part of the thesis I try to learn, helping with a quantitative questionary, about the most often imported infications and to mention the common non infection causes of health problems coming from the travelling abroad. I focus on the problematic of prevention connected with a low rate of vaccination of Czech travellers before going to risky areas. Finally I learned about how are Czech tourists acknowledged or not about the centers of travelling medecine and their educative work.
