Mnohé houby z řádu Polyporales a Agaricales jsou již dlouhou dobu využívány zejména v tradiční čínské medicíně, u řady z nich byla farmakologická aktivita také prokázána. Z obsahových látek jsou svými účinky významné především β-glukany a nízkomolekulární látky. A great number of fungi of order Polyporales and Agaricales have been used particularly in the traditional Chinese medicine, in many of them the pharmacological activity has already been proved.
