Presentation skills in marketing communication

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se věnuji tématu „Prezentační dovednosti v marketingové komunikaci“. Cílem práce je analyzovat prezentační dovednosti řečníků a prozkoumat metody a techniky vedoucí k rozvoji právě těchto prezentačních dovedností a tím i ke zlepšování výkonů řečníků. Práce je rozdělena na tři základní teoretické části. Obsahem první teoretické části je plánování prezentace, včetně identifikace cílů, definice klíčové zprávy a myšlenky a finálního rozhodnutí o rozsahu prezentace. V druhé části se věnuji procesu přípravy prezentace, zajišťující důkladné promyšlení klíčové myšlenky. Stěžejní je rovněž výběr vhodné vizuální pomůcky a místa konání odpovídajícího potřebám publika, zasedací pořádek a vybavení místnosti hrající důležitou roli v úspěšném přednesu prezentace. Hlavním tématem poslední části je samotný přednes prezentace. Zde se zaměřuji na několik oblastí, které je nutno zvážit, aby prezentace auditorium zaujala, řečník udržel po celou dobu prezentace pozornost publika a působil profesionálně od prvního okamžiku vstupu na pódium.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis covers the topic of „Presentation skills in marketing communication”. It aims to analyse the presentation skills of speakers and investigate the methods and techniques that lead to the development of these presentation skills, improving the overall performance of the speakers. The thesis consists of three theoretical parts. The first part covers the planning of a presentation, including the specification of aims, defining the key message and idea, and the final decision on the extent of the presentation. The second part addresses the process of preparation of a presentation, which provides for a complex elaboration of the key idea. It is also crucial to choose the appropriate visual aids and a location that meets the requirements of the audience; the sitting order and the equipment of the room also plays an important role in the success of the presentation. The main topic of the last part is the process of presentation itself. I mainly focus on several areas that need to be considered in order to make the presentation interesting to the audience so that the speaker could keep the audience focused and act professionally from the very entrance to the presentation floor.
