Impacts of crisis on tourism

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce jsou dopady krizí na cestovní ruch. Cílem diplomové práce je prokázat vazbu mezi typem krize a jejími dopady na cestovním ruchu. První část práce vymezuje teoretická východiska problematiky krizových situací, zejména jejich typologie, klasifikace a charakteristiky. Pozornost je věnována také identifikaci dopadů a jejich evaluaci. Součástí východisek je rešerše literatury přibližující případové studie, které analyzují příklady krizí a jejich dopadů v cestovním ruchu. Aplikační část práce na základě obsahové analýzy dostupných zdrojů identifikuje, jak se konkrétní krizové situace promítají do vývoje cestovního ruchu, respektive mají dopad na rozvoj cestovního ruchu.

Abstract:

The subject of the thesis is the impact of crises on tourism. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate the link between the type of crisis and its impact on tourism. The first part of the thesis defines the theoretical background of crisis situations, especially their typology, classification and characteristics. Attention is also paid to the identification of impacts and their evaluation. The background includes a literature search presenting case studies that analyse examples of crises and their impacts in tourism. The application part of the thesis, based on a content analysis of available sources, identifies how specific crisis situations are reflected in the development of tourism or have an impact on tourism development.
