Práce se zabývá jednak popisem válečných let 1939 – 1945 v oblasti Beskyd kolem města Frýdlantu nad Ostravicí s dopadem na civilní obyvatelstvo a jejich běžný život, dále pak schopností kronik být relevantním pramenem pro historické bádání o této době. The work partly engages in description of wartime 1939 – 1945 in the area of Beskydy around the city of Frýdlant nad Ostravicí with an impact on civilian population and its everyday life, partly in ability of chronicals to be relevant source for historical research about this time.
