How Brexit will affect business in the UK, the EU and the US

Abstract:

This thesis focuses mainly on Brexit implications for the EU, the UK and the US businesses. Theoretical part explains background of Brexit with aim on the history of the United Kingdom and its membership in trade unions and in the EU, structure, current situation and growth of the UK economy with emphasis on the period during UK’s membership in the EU. Objective of the thesis is to provide insight on the economic situation post-Brexit referendum, implications and recommendations for businesses in the EU, the UK and the US with emphasis on directly affected subjects of those economies. Expectations of the thesis are to prove either negative or positive effects of Brexit on the businesses interconnected with the UK economy. Brexit will affect trade businesses by increased non-tariff barriers, businesses with operations in the UK may suffer from losing access to the Single market and decrease in labor supply. Depreciation of the pound sterling has impacted businesses the most at the moment.
