The world is a book: An interpretation of Orhan Pamuk's selected works
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na život a tvorbu tureckého autora a nositele Nobelovy ceny za literaturu Orhana Pamuka. Ústřední část se zabývá literární interpretací dvou románových knih, Bílá pevnost a Jmenuji se Červená, které z turečtiny přeložil Petr Kučera. Práce v závěru analyzuje typické prvky Pamukovy poetiky, které jsou společné oběma interpretovaným dílům.
Abstract:
This Bachelor Thesis focuses on life and work of Orhan Pamuk who is a Turkish novelist and recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature. The main part deals with the literary interpretation of two novels, The White Castle and My Name is Red which were translated from Turkish by Petr Kučera.
