Abstract:
Pure culture of thermophilic photosynthetic green non-sulphur bacterium Chloroflexus aurantiacus was maintained and grown at medium scale. Chlorosome extraction and purification protocol was optimized yielding highly pure chlorosome fraction. Chlorosomes were characterized spectroscopically using UV-VIS absorption spectroscopy.
