Analysis of sport grants at local level in the Czech republic, Germany and Austria

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá financováním sportovního odvětví z veřejných zdrojů v České republice, Rakousku a Německu. Financování v uvedených zemích probíhá různě a každé má svá specifika. V práci nechybí důvody, které vedou k financování sportu z veřejných zdrojů i návrhy, které jsou proti veřejnému financování. Je zde provedena analýza dotací do této oblasti z místních rozpočtů a jejich komparace, ke které byly vybrány města z těchto zemí, která mají téměř totožný počet obyvatel. V závěru se nachází doporučení pro Českou republiku, která by mohla vést ke zlepšení efektivnosti a transparentnosti dotací při financování sportovního prostředí.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the financing of the sports sector from public sources in the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. Funding in these countries is different and each has its own specifics. There are reasons behind the funding of sport from public sources and proposals against public funding. There is an analysis of the subsidies to this area from the local budgets and their comparison, with the selection of cities from these countries, which have almost the same number of inhabitants. In conclusion, there is a recommendation for the Czech Republic that could lead to an improvement in the efficiency and transparency of subsidies in financing the sporting environment.
