Readership Letters - Text Linguistic Analysis

Abstract:

This Baccalaureate research provides answers as well as clarifies questions from letters written by readership of German linguistic media. Articles were analyzed using text linguistic method to probe internal structures. Pragmatic Communication Model was utilized in this research. Resulting conclusions are divided into two main sections ? Theoretical Section and Practical Section. Theoretical Section clarifies linguistic terms and their relation to readership letters. Production in accordance to the law, basic characteristics of researched work and its communicative functions and stylistic balance were examined. The goal of this empirical research based on results obtained through analyzing specific documents and evaluating questionnaires that were completed by selected editor agencies was to complete and contribute to topics introduced in Theoretical Section. 207 Letters from readers were utilized in this project. Contributing readership sources are: Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Neue Zürcher Zeitung and Die Presse. Included are six sections with results of the empirical research.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje objasnění a zodpovězení otázek týkajících se čtenářských dopisů se zaměřením na německo-jazyčná média. Metodou textově-lingvistické analýzy zkoumá vnitřní struktury i pragmaticko-komunikační stránku těchto textů. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí ? teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část se zabývá objasněním lingvistických pojmů a jejich vztahem ke čtenářským dopisům, hledáním zákonitostí produkce a základní charakteristikou zkoumaného objektu, jeho komunikativními funkcemi a stylistickými rovinami. Cílem empirického výzkumu je na základě výsledků, získaných analýzou konkrétních textů a vyhodnocením dotazníku zaslaného vybraným redakcím, doplnit a doložit teze navozené v teoretické části. 207 čtenářských dopisů bylo získáno z těchto novin: Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Neue Zürcher Zeitung a Die Presse. Součástí práce je šest příloh, které obsahují výsledky empirického výzkumu.
