Gama-glutamyltrasnferasa je enzym, obecně známý jako indikátor míry hepato-biliárního poškození, ale především jako ukazatel míry konzumace alkoholu. Během posledního desetiletí byla však Gama-glutamyltransferasa zahrnuta do řady výzkumů, které popisují její možnou roli ve vzniku a vývoji aterosklerózy. Abstract:
Gama-glutamyltransferase is an enzyme best known as a hepato-biliar damage indicator, but also an indicator of degree of the alcohol consumption. Over the last ten years, Gama-glutamyltransferase has been included in many studies describing its possible role in the development of atherosclerosis.
