Development of proffesional skills and activities within the practice of social pedagogues

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá rozvojem profesních dovedností a činností v rámci praxe studentů sociální pedagogiky na Univerzitě Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně. Teoretická část práce se věnuje sociální pedagogice, sociálním pedagogům, jejich uplatnění a rovněž objasňuje klíčové pojmy vztahující se k praktické části práce jako profesní činnosti, dovednosti a kompetence. Poslední kapitola teoretické části pojednává o praxi v rámci profesní přípravy, ale také o vztahu teorie a praxe v sociální pedagogice, typologii praxí a praxi na UTB ve Zlíně. Praktická část práce se soustřeďuje k výzkumnému šetření subjektivně vnímané míry profesních dovedností a činností osvojených v rámci předmětu Souvislá praxe u studentů sociální pedagogiky. Dále zjišťuje, jaké jsou u studentů rozhodující kritéria výběru zařízení pro výkon praxe, nejčastější bariéry v plnění předmětu Souvislá praxe a zda studenti rozvíjejí své profesní dovednosti a činnosti nad rámec školní praxe.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with development of professional skills and activities of social pedagogy students within practice at Thomas Bata University in Zlín. The theoretical part of the work engages in social pedagogy, social educators and their employment. It also clarifies the key concepts which apply to the practical part of the thesis - professional activities, skills and competences. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with a practice within professional preparations, relation between theory and practice in social pedagogy, practice typology and practice at Thomas Bata University in Zlín. The practical part of the work deals with research of subjectively perceived extent of professional skills and activities acquired within the subject "Continuous practice with social pedagogy students." It also finds out what are the main criteria when choosing facilities for practice performance, the most frequent barriers when fulfilling the subject "Continuous practice" and whether students develop their professional skills and activities beyond school practice.
