Historic-geomorphologic retrospective of landslides and rock-falling in the Ústí nad Labem region at the turn of 19th and 20th century

Abstract:

Tématem práce je historicko-geomorfologická retrospektiva svahových pohybů na Ústecku na přelomu devatenáctého a dvacátého století. Cílem práce je, pomocí některých metod historické geomorfologie, inventarizovat a interpretovat svahové pohyby v regionu. Hlavními použitými metodami jsou studium literatury a archivní činnost Součástí práce jsou autorem zpracovaná mapová díla, fotografie, grafy a tabulky. Práce navazuje na inventarizaci svahových pohybů, například Špůrkovu (1972, in Brázdil a Kirchner, 2007). Výsledky práce umožní poznat změny ve frekvenci a intenzitě vzhledem k měnícím se faktorům spuštění pohybu ve vymezeném území a umožní sledovat změny v sociální percepci svahových pohybů.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on a historical-geomorphology retrospective of the slope mobility at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. The aim of the work is to make an inventory and to interpret the slope mobility in the region based on some geomorphologic methods. The main methods applied are the source literature and archive analysis. The author has also analysed relevant works, photographs, graphs and tables. The thesis continues with the research on the slope mobility inventory carried on by for instance Špůrek (1972, in Brázdil a Kirchner, 2007). The thesis results will enable to see the shifts in frequency and intensity considering the factors trigging the mobility in the given territory. It will also enable to monitor the shifts in the social perception of the slope mobility.
