Stress in the working environment and the influence of nature and manual work on its alleviation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce má za cíl analyzovat vztah lidí pracujících v kancelářském prostředí k přírodě a manuální práci, která dokáže zmírnit stres a zlepšit tak jejich výkonnost a psychické zdraví. Práce se zabývá různými druhy stresu, kte-ré na zaměstnance působí a pozitivními vlivy přírody na jeho zmírnění. Násled-ně analyzuje soubor respondentů, ze kterého zjišťuje, že stres působí na dvě třetiny z nich a že by lidé o pobyt v přírodě a manuální činnosti zájem projevili a pokud by měli možnost, tak by se zúčastnili sezónních prací v oblasti země-dělství jako je práce v sadu nebo na vinici, kdyby jim k tomu bylo poskytnuto pouze zázemí a nějaké plodiny jako odměna.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis aims to analyse the relationship of people working in an office environment to nature and manual work, which can relieve stress and improve their performance and mental health. The thesis looks at the different types of stress that affect employees and the positive effects of nature on alleviating it. It then analyses a set of respondents, from which it finds that stress affects two-thirds of them and that people would be interested in being in nature and manual activities and, if given the opportunity, would take part in seasonal agricultural work such as working in an orchard or vineyard if they were only provided with facilities and some crops as a reward.
