Help for victims of crime in the Moravian-Silesian Region

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku pomoci obětem trestných činů. Jedná se o celospolečenský problém, kterému v současné době není dáváno dostatek pozornosti a prognóza vývoje kriminality ukazuje na to, že je potřeba se tomuto tématu více věnovat. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, a to na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Cílem teoretické části je vytvořit ucelený a přehledný souhrn užitečných informací z oblasti pomoci obětem trestné činnosti. Stručně shrnuje ve dvou kapitolách informace o dopadech trestných činů na psychiku oběti, legislativě v této problematice, možnostech pomoci obětem trestných činů a pomáhajících institucích. Informace uvedené v teoretické části jsou užitečné jak pro laiky, tak pracovníky pomáhajících profesí. Cílem praktické části je zmapování znalostí občanů ostravského regionu v problematice pomoci obětem trestné činnosti a iniciativy médií na tomto tématu. Empirická část práce je provedena kvantitativní dotazníkovou metodou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the problem of assistance for crime victims. It is a society wide issue, however out of scope of a major attention. As recent crime development forecasts present, it is necessary to pay more attention to the fore mentioned topic. Presented thesis is divided into the two parts, theoretical and practical. The aim of the theoretical part is to create a comprehensive and clear summary of useful information from the presented issue of the assistance for crime victims. Two chapters of this part summarize the information about the psychological impacts on the victims, relevant legislation and specify help options and institutions providing such help. Presented information is useful for both laymen and workers in helping professions. The aim of practical part is to make a survey of knowledge of Ostrava region inhabitants about issue of assistance for crime victims and the mass media coverage of this issue. The empirical part has been performed with quantitative questionnaire method.
