Differences in attitudes towards people with handicap among students of pedagogical faculties in the Czech Republic and Austria

Abstract:

Cílem práce bude zjistit, jaké jsou rozdíly mezi postoji k lidem s postižením u studentů pedagogických fakult v České republice a Rakousku. Práce bude standardně rozdělena na praktickou a teoretickou část. Teoretická část bude vystávat z rešerše problematiky postojů k lidem s postižením ve světovém měřítku, včetně vymezení různých vlivů, které postoje k lidem s postižením ovlivňují. V empirické části bude využit rozšířený adaptovaný nástroj MRAI-R, který bude přeložen do německého jazyka (lingvistická validizace), a následně bude realizován sběr dat u studentů učitelské a neučitelské pedagogiky v České republice a v Rakousku a jejich statistická analýza. Výsledné vyhodnocení bude poukazovat na vztah studentů v České republice a v Rakousku k různým druhům znevýhodnění u žáků. Výsledky bude možné využít i k aktualizaci přímé pedagogické praxe studentů pedagogicky orientovaných oborů v České republice.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to find out what are the differences between the attitudes towards people with disabilities among students of faculties of education in the Czech Republic and Austria. The work will be divided into practical and theoretical parts. The theoretical part will consist of research on the issue of attitudes towards people with disabilities worldwide, including the definition of different influences that affect attitudes towards people with disabilities. In the empirical part, the extended MRAI-R instrument will be used, which will be translated into German (linguistic validation), followed by data collection from teacher and non-teacher education students in the Czech Republic and Austria and statistical analysis. The resulting evaluation will show the relationship between students in the Czech Republic and in Austria to several types of disadvantages in the learners. The results will also be used to update the direct teaching practice of teacher-oriented students in the Czech Republic.
