Increase of visits of wellness complex in the Liberec Babylon

Abstract:

Wellness se stal novodobým trendem relaxace a regenerace sil. Lidé se chtějí cítit dobře, spokojeně a mít pocit, že něco dělají pro své zdraví. Jejich potřebami se zabývá odvětví wellness, které je staré jen několik desítek let. Trend budování wellness hotelů a center se ze zahraničí přesunul i do České republiky. Vzniklo zde mnoho subjektů, které nabízejí různé wellness služby. Konkurence se cenově podbízí, trh se stává nepřehledný, nekultivovaný a klienti se stávají oběťmi klamavé reklamy. Na druhé straně je dost subjektů, které vytvořily wellnessové zázemí velmi kvalitní úrovně, ale jeho návštěvnost nedosahuje očekávaných výsledků. Kcompetition analysis, evaluation parameters, SWOT analysis, visitors rate, wellness, wellness hotel Cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat wellnessové centrum společně s hotelem Babylon a hledat cesty ke zvýšení jeho návštěvnosti. Analýza srovnává liberecké zařízení s jinými wellness centry a dále analyzuje vlastní wellness centrum. Pro srovnávací analýzu byly vytvořeny hodnotící parametry a stanovena sedmistupňová bodovací škála. Celkem bylo navštíveno a hodnoceno dvacet wellness center a hotelů, které byly navzájem porovnány. Výsledky výzkumu jsou využitelné pro management Centra Babylon i jiných subjektů pro zlepšení kvality jejich prostředí a služeb. Závěr SWOT analýzy přispívá k uvědomění si postavení na trhu a nutností zavedení některých opatření. Mezi ta nejdůležitější patří zvýšení lokální a celorepublikové propagace, úprava cenové politiky a zásah do koncepce vlastního wellness centra. V diplomové práci byly navrženy dílčí změny vedoucí ke zvýšení komfortu služeb, a tím zvýšení návštěvnosti wellness centra při zachování stávajících cen za vstup.

Abstract:

Wellness has become a modern relaxation and regeneration trend. People want to feel good and happy and do well for their health. Their needs are fulfilled with wellness that has been around for a couple of years. The trend of opening hotels and wellness centres abroad came also to the Czech Republic. There are many different wellness services. The prices and competition is unstructured, chaotic, the market has become confusing for the customers who may be the victims of false advertising. On the other hand, there is a number of great wellness facilities whose attendance is lower than expected. One of them is the wellness of Centrum Babylon Liberec. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the wellness centre and hotel Babylon and find solutions to increase their visit rate. The analysis is based on two methods. The first is a comparison of Liberec wellness centre and the other facilities and the second one is the SWOT analysis wellness Centrum Babylon Liberec. Evaluation parameters for the comparison study are based on seven-scoring parameters. Twenty different wellness centres and hotels were visited and compared by given parameters. The results are useful for the management of the Babylon Centrum Liberec and other businesses to improve the quality of their services. SWOT analysis conclusion contributes to an awareness of its position on the market and the need to introduce some changes. Among the most important are to increase local and broader promotion, regulation of pricing policy and intervention of wellness concept. It was also proposed in the thesis a few changes leading to improvement of comfort and services that should lead to higher visitors rate.
