Unfulfilled needs of sixth to ninth graders as a precursor of internet addiction disorder

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, co žáci druhého stupně základní školy potřebují, aby trávili méně času na sociálních sítích, hraním počítačových her a na internetu obecně. První, teoretická, část práce slouží jako ucelené shrnutí současných poznatků o závislosti, závislostním chování, netolismu a důvodech ke vzniku závislostí u dětí a mladistvých. V druhé, praktické, části práce jsou analyzována a srovnávána s názorem odborné veřejnosti data získaná od žáků druhého stupně základní školy pomocí dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

The main goal of the diploma thesis is to find out what sixth to ninth graders need to spend less time browsing social sites, playing video games, and surfing on the internet in general. The first theoretical part serves as summarization of current scientific knowledge about addiction, addictive behaviour, internet addiction disorder and reasons of emergence of addiction in sixth to ninth graders. In the second practical part the data obtained by a survey from sixth to ninth graders are analysed and compared with current scientific knowledge.
