První kapitola se věnuje struktuře CIA a jejím metodám práce a stručně popisuje události tajné operace v Guatemale, která se stala předlohou invaze v Zátoce sviní na Kubě. Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the invasion at the Bay of Pigs carried out by CIA trained Cuban exiles in April 1961, after Fidel Castro took power in Cuba. The first chapter is devoted to the structure of the CIA as well as its methods of work and it gives a brief description of a covert action in Guatemala, which served as a model for the Bay of Pigs invasion.
