Confusion and Masking in Shakespeare's Plays
Abstract:
Tato práce se zaměřuje na používání převleků a záměn v Shakespearovském dramatu a také v jiných alžbětinských a jakubovských hrách. Prosazuje tvrzení, že tyto divadelní metody byly v evropském dramatu 16. a 17. století velice hojně využívané. Také se snaží najít, jaké role především převleky hrály jak uvnitř tak vně divadla.
Abstract:
The thesis concentrates on the use of confusion and masking in Shakespearean drama and some other plays from the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods. It points out the fact that particularly disguises were popular devices in European drama of the 16th and 17th centuries, and it tries to find the roles they played both inside and outside the theatre.
