Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vztahem žáka k matematice vzhledem k pohlaví v pátých třídách běžných základních škol, škol Montessori, škol vyučujících dle Hejného metody a daltonského plánu. Cílem práce je porovnat vztah k matematice mezi chlapci a děvčaty na institucích s odlišnými preferovanými strategiemi řízení učební činnosti a informovat tak čtenáře, zda je pohlaví a způsob výuky ovlivňujícím faktorem postojů žáků k matematice či nikoliv. V teoretické části seznamujeme s východisky práce. Konkrétně s věkovou skupinou, s faktory ovlivňujícími vztah k matematice a také s tradičními a alternativními způsoby výuky. V empirické části popisujeme metodologii výzkumu, která obsahuje výzkumný vzorek a sběr dat, výzkumnou metodu, nastolené problémy, cíle a hypotézy. V samotné výzkumné části se dozvídáme, že rozdíl v oblibě matematiky mezi chlapci a děvčaty existuje ve všech způsobech výuky, kromě Hejného metody. Největší oblibě se těší matematika u chlapců vyučovaná na Montessori školách. Zato nejméně pozitivní vztah projevily dívky na běžných základních školách. Právě tato skutečnost přivádí k myšlence, že pedagogové na běžných základních školách by neměli zapomínat na důležitost motivace při výuce a podporovat dívky v jejich kladném postoji k danému předmětu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the pupil 's relation to mathematics in view of gender in the fifth grades of regular primary schools, Montessori schools, pupil 's taught according to the Hejný method and to the Dalton plan. The aim of the thesis is to compare the relation to mathematics between boys and girls at institutions with different preferred strategies of guidance on learning activities and to inform readers about, if gender and the way of teaching is an affecting factor of pupil 's attitudes to mathematics or not. In the theoretical part we get acquainted with the starting points of the work. Specifically with the age group, with the circumstances affecting the relation to mathematics and also with traditional and alternative teaching methods. In the practical part of the study we describe the research methodology, which includes a research sample and data collection, the research method, encountered problems, goals and hypotheses. In the research part we learn that the difference in the popularity of mathematics between boys and girls exists in the all ways of teaching, except the Hejný method. The most popular mathematics evaluated boys is taught at Montessori schools. On the other hand, girls in regular primary schools showed the least positive relation to mathematics. This fact leads to the idea that teachers in regular primary schools should not forget the importance of motivation in teaching and support girls in their positive attitude to the subject.
