Comparison of the spectacle and contact lenses transmission

Abstract:

Cílem práce je na vybraném vzorku minusových brýlových a kontaktních čoček reprezentovat a ověřit metodu výpočtu optických parametrů ze změřené spektrální propustnosti ve zvolené oblasti viditelného spektra, především z výsledků měření početně stanovit indexy lomu pro odpovídající vlnové délky záření a z těchto vypočtených indexů lomu následným fitováním stanovit disperzní křivky a vzájemně je porovnat. Dále u Cauchyho disperzního vzorce zjistit do jaké míry se na přesnosti výpočtu podílí počet zvolených konstant ve vzorci. Na závěr pak veškeré změřené a vypočtené parametry porovnáme a ze všech získaných dat budeme interpretovat závěry.

Abstract:

The goal of the work is to represent and prove calculation method of the optical parameters of the measured spectral transmittance in the chosen part of the visible spectrum. This will be demonstrated on the chosen sample of the minus spectacles and contact lenses. From the results of the measurements, mathematically a set of indexes of refraction for the appropriate wave lengths will be obtained from the calculated indexes of refraction by consequent fitting a set of dispersive curves will be found and compared to each other. Furthermore, a relevant number of constants in Cauchy’s formula will be studied with respect to accuracy of calculation. Finally, we compare all measured and calculated parameters and interpret conclusions of all the received data.
