Zoonoses in El Salvador

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat výskyt zoonóz a faktory ovlivňující tropické nemoci ve Střední Americe, se zacílením na El Salvador. Práce je zpracována dle dostupných článků, informací a dat získaných z OIE, PubMed, PAHO, WHO, CDC, PloS a další literatury, která je zaměřena na nejčastěji se vyskytující zoonózy v El Salvadoru. Pro srovnání situace jsou brány v úvahu také ostatní státy Střední Ame¬riky. Zoonózy vyskytující se v dané oblasti jsou kategorizovány dle původce, na nemoci virové, bakteriální a parazitární. Pro analýzu dat byla použita metoda kon¬vergence/divergence, včetně metody korelačního diagramu. Závěr práce se zamě¬řuje na zhodnocení situace a na doporučení ke zkoumané problematice, včetně doporučení pro osoby cestující do této země.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyse the occurrence of zoonotic diseases and factors affecting the tropical diseases in Central America focusing on El Salvador. The thesis is based on available articles, information and data obtained from OIE, PubMed, PAHO, WHO, CDC, Plos and other literature which is aimed to the most common zoonoses in El Salvador. As well as the other states of Central America are taken into account, mainly because of comparison. Zoonotic diseases occurring in a given area are categorized according to the causation agent, for viral, bacterial, and parasitic diseases. Method of convergence/divergence including the method of correlation diagram was used for data analysis. The final part of the thesis is focused on the assessment of the situation and recommendations based on the examined issues, including recommendations for the potential tourists travelling to the country.
